Presente Continuo o Progresivo

El Presente Continuo o Presente Progresivo es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para expresar acciones que suceden en el mismo momento en que se está hablando.

Este tiempo verbal se construye utilizando como auxiliar el Presente Simple del verbo TO BE (am/is/are) y como verbo principal en infinitivo con la terminación ING, como vemos a continuación:

Forma Affirmativa:       S + Aux (am / is / are) + V_ING + C

I am speaking English. (Yo estoy hablando inglés)

Forma Negativa:          S + Aux (am / is / are) + not + V_ING +C

                                   You are not reading a book. (Tú estás leyendo un libro)

Forma Interrogativa:    Aux (am / is / are) +S + V_ING + C?

                                   Are they are walking in the park? (Ellos están caminando en el parque)
