Quantity

Use much / many / a lot of / (a) little / (a) few to answer questions about quantity.

MUCH / MANY
Use much (mucho / mucha) in negative and interrogative sentences with uncountable nouns.

Ex:   There isn't much tea in the bag.
         Is there much milk in the bottle?

Use many(muchos / muchas) in negative and interrogative sentences with plural countable nouns.

Ex:   There aren't many employees
         Are there many people in the park?

A LOT OF / LOTS OF (mucho, mucha, muchos, muchas)
Both have the same meaning. Use them with countable and uncountable nouns and with  plural  countable nouns. 
Ex:  There was a lot of water in the bottle.   
        There are a lot of students in this school.  /   There are lots of students in this school.

A LITTLE / LITTLE (un poco de / poco, poca)
Use a little / little with uncountable nouns. 
A little is positive. 
Little is negative.

Ex:  There  is a little coffee in the pot.
        There is little money in the wallet.

A FEW / FEW (unos pocos, unas pocas / pocos, pocas)
Use a few / few with countable nouns. 
A few is positive. 
Few is negative.

Ex:  There were a few cookies in the box.
        Today there are few Panda bears in the world.


HOW MUCH ...? / HOW MANY...? (¿Cuánto, cuánta...? / ¿Cuántos, cuántas)...? )
Use them to ask about quantity.
How much + (uncountable noun) ...?
How many + (plural countable noun)...?

Ex: How much wine is there in the bottle?
       How many apples are there in the basket?

Use there is / there are in present. Use there was / there were in past.
